Part of the Recruitment Entrepreneur portfolio, boutique recruitment consultancy Graham Matthews recently appointed Ali Raza as Managing Director. Historically, Graham Matthews has recruited exclusively in the Healthcare IT & Systems space; now, it looks to diversify its offering whilst maintaining its niche focus by adding a dedicated technology recruitment practice.

The technology side of the business will focus on the digital & agile, cloud, software, and DevOps capacities, partnering with digital transformation companies across the UK, Europe, and the USA. Managing Director Ali Raza brings with him a stellar track record in securing top sales, marketing, and technical talent for rapidly growing organisations in this space, both pre and post IPO. His commitment to only working with the top 5% of talent means he is able to connect clients with exceptional candidates who will go on to be the driving force behind the client’s innovation, growth, and success.

On joining Graham Matthews Ali Raza commented, “The team have spent the last five years building a fantastic market reputation and foundation, and the lifeblood of Graham Matthews - delivering bespoke talent solutions within Healthcare IT & Systems - will remain a key part of the business. Alongside this, however, I will bring my passion and deep understanding of the technology and digital transformation sector. Graham Matthews’ values of integrity, adaptability, excellence, and resilience are core to how I operate, which made me confident that I am the right fit to lead the business going forward. I’m honoured to have this opportunity to take Graham Matthews in a new direction and excited to see what the future holds for our team.”

Chairman of Recruitment Entrepreneur, James Caan CBE added, “Diversification is a key strategy following a crisis. In the wake of COVID-19, many companies have had to adapt and rethink in order to be resilient and achieve growth in the new market conditions. After this year’s market declines, the technology sector is forecast to grow 4.2% in 2021, with enterprise software expected to have the strongest rebound at 7.2% growth. Artificial intelligence and machine learning will also continue to cause widespread disruption across almost all industries as we navigate both the health and commercial impacts of COVID-19. It’s an incredibly exciting time to be working in the technology sector and Ali’s experience, expertise and well-established networks position him perfectly to lead Graham Matthews in this new venture.”

Abid Hamid, CEO of Recruitment Entrepreneur, also commented, “We’re thrilled to welcome Ali Raza to the portfolio. This past year has undoubtedly been a time of upheaval and transformation for everyone; it’s fantastic to see Graham Matthews harness this opportunity for positive change. I have total faith in Ali’s ability to establish Graham Matthews as a market-leading, niche technology recruitment partner, as well as develop the Healthcare IT & Systems specialism and attract exceptional talent to join the team. I very much look forward to seeing the business evolve and grow this coming year.”
